Independence Day Celebrations at Dayanand Public School

Pic (9)Students of Dayanand Public School, Shimla observed nation’s 70th Independence Day celebration from 8th – 12th August, 2016. Different colours of India were showcased through patriotic songs such as “Aaj Triranga Lehrata Hai”, “Aisa Bharat Desh Hamara”, “Yogon Yogon Se” among other while at the same times their were some vibrant dance performances by the students, a fancy dress shows as well as skits were also presented.

Students took active participation in all the cultural events throughout the week.

Pic (8)Fancy dress shows by classes Nursery to IV, power point presentation on topics such as Advancing India and Digital India by classes V to VIII and skits on independence movement by classes IX to XII were the main attraction.
Display boards were put up on themes like cultural diversity and national symbols in a very creative manner to foster the feeling of nationalism among the students.

The school staff and teachers participated enthusiastically during the week long celebrations.

School Principal Anupam addressed the students and motivated them to work towards national integrity and paid tribute to our national leaders while congratulating the students and staff on the occasion of Independence Day.
