International Labour Day : St. Thomas’ School Shimla Organizes Special Programme

International Labour Day was celebrated today on 1 May 2024 at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla. A special assembly was organized by the students of class 11 to mark the occasion.

Various programs were staged by the students to highlight the significant contribution of workers in nation-building. The program, presided over by the school principal, Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarty, showcased the contribution of workers through drama and poems.

Students also addressed pressing issues such as child labour and exploitation of workers at workplaces during their presentations. The importance of labour and Shramdaan (voluntary labour) was also discussed in detail during the programme.

Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarty, the Principal of the school, honoured all the supportive staff working in the school and praised their commendable contribution. In her address, she also emphasized the importance of hard work and provided guidance to the students on how to excel in life.
