Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the shift to e-Office has improved efficiency, ensured timely execution of work, and enhanced transparency, with most departmental communication now handled digitally.

Deputy Chief Minister and Jal Shakti Minister Mukesh Agnihotri termed the achievement a milestone, stating the department met its digitization target within the तय timeline, making operations more transparent and accountable.

Secretary Dr. Abhishek Jain credited the successful rollout to the dedication of officers and staff.

The system has been introduced across key offices, including Chief Engineer offices in Shimla and Mandi, all seven Chief Engineer and zonal offices, 17 circle offices, 75 Executive Engineer offices, and training institutes. File movement—from departmental offices to the Secretariat and ministers—is now fully digital, enabling real-time tracking and faster decision-making.

The department is now working to extend digitization to sub-division level offices.
