Kewal Singh Pathania Reviews Ongoing Developmental Works of Shahpur

Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania on Tuesday presided over a review meeting to assess the progress of ongoing developmental works in the Shahpur area. The meeting primarily focused on key projects related to education and infrastructure within the Shahpur Assembly constituency.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the construction of the Rajiv Gandhi Government Model Day-Boarding School at Rait in Kangra district. Officials informed that departmental approval for the project has already been granted and preparatory work is underway.

The review also covered the status of the proposed Degree College at Rirkmar in Sub-Tehsil Darini, Tehsil Shahpur, Kangra district. In addition, deliberations were held on the allocation of funds for the construction of an auditorium at Shahpur Government Degree College, which is expected to enhance academic and cultural activities for students.

Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania directed the concerned departments to ensure effective coordination and complete all projects in a time-bound manner. He emphasized that strengthening educational infrastructure remains a priority to improve learning opportunities and overall development in the region.

Chief Architect, Public Works Department, Rajiv Sharma, Joint Director of Higher Education Rakesh Kumar, along with other senior departmental officers, were present in the meeting.
