Photography Contest during Summer Festival – 2018: “Shimla: A Historical Perspective”

Deputy Commissioner Shimla, Amit Kashyap said that International Summer Festival Shimla Organizing Committee would organize a Photography Contest during the Summer Festival-  2018, on the theme “Shimla: A Historical Perspective”. Those interested could take part in this contest in Professional or Amature category. One participant can submit maximum two photographs/images. Each image should be of 1600 x 1600 pixels. Each image submitted must be the original and unpublished work of the participant who must also be its copyright owner. Image should be uploaded in JPEG format with high quality compression.

Digital manipulation that distorts the reality of the images will not be allowed. The last submission date of photographs is 28th May, 2018. Each image should not more than 10 MB in size and must be submitted online (e-mail: shimlasummerfestival@gmail.com). Shortlisted finalists will be notified via mobile phone to submit their original images in A-4 size print.

The participants must submit the image with a caption, their full name, father’s name, address, age, image with file name, mobile number, besides indicating their category as professional or amateur.

In the Amateur category cash prizes of Rs. 3000, 2000 and 1000 would be given to first, second and third position holders respectively. Cash prizes of rupees 5000, 3000 and 2000 would be given to first, second and third position holders respectively in professional category.

The details of the contest result will be communicated through mobile phone / email to the selected participants. The organizing committee will have the right to take any decision about the competition. The photographs will not be given back to the participants and the rights to its use will be reserved by the International Summer Festival Organizing Committee Shimla.
