In a major step towards ensuring good governance and transparency, the Himachal Pradesh Government, under the leadership of CM Sukhu, has successfully resolved over 4.33 lakh long-pending revenue cases through specially organized Revenue Lok Adalats.

A government spokesperson stated that these Adalats are being conducted regularly at the Sub-Tehsil and Tehsil levels, bringing revenue services closer to people’s homes and significantly reducing the burden on citizens.

Between October 2023 and August 2025, the Revenue Lok Adalats have addressed a total of 4,33,242 cases, including:

  • 3,60,105 mutation cases

  • 22,592 partition cases

  • 39,835 demarcations

  • 10,710 corrections in revenue records

The initiative, launched with a special drive on 30th October 2023, has ensured that revenue disputes are settled in a mission-mode. Adalats are now held on the last two days of every month, streamlining the resolution process and providing direct relief to the public.

The spokesperson highlighted that this reform has minimized the need for repeated visits to government offices, winning strong public support and building trust in the system. The state government’s emphasis on efficiency, accessibility, and transparency has made the Revenue Lok Adalats a widely appreciated public service reform.

Chief Minister Sukhu reiterated the government’s commitment to people-first governance, stating, Good governance is essential to address people’s concerns. We are committed to delivering services at the doorstep with transparency and efficiency. He further emphasized that multiple reforms have been introduced in the Revenue Department to simplify processes and enhance public convenience.

This initiative reflects the state’s focused approach to governance reforms and citizen-centric service delivery.
