Education Minister Rohit Thakur presided over the District Level Grievance Redressal Committee meeting at Bachat Bhawan here today.
In his address, he said that the present Congress government is committed towards inclusive and holistic development and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is continuously working in this direction so that the people in the last row can get the benefits of the schemes and programs of the government.

He established direct communication with all the sub-divisional officers of the district and officials of all the departments and gave necessary directions regarding the pending cases. He assured the non-official members present that the present state government is committed to complete the pending development works in a phased manner and held a detailed discussion with them and cleared their doubts.

The Education Minister listened to the problems in the context of Public Works, Water Power, Transport, Revenue, Electricity, Health departments and instructed the officers present that the vacant posts and pending development works should be completed within the time limit so that the rural and remote areas can get education. People should not face any problem.

The Cabinet Minister held a detailed discussion on providing employment to the local people in hydro power schemes in Rampur sub-division, construction of the building of college Kupvi, vacant posts of teachers, maintenance of contact roads, construction of buildings of primary health centers and Forest Conservation Act 2006 and was present. Gave instructions to the officers.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap welcomed the chief guest and informed him about various developmental works going on in the district. Congress Mandal President Kasumpati Ram Kishan Shandil, Congress Mandal President Jubbal-Navar-Kotkhai Moti Lal Derata, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Verma, Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Gandhi, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Ajit Bhardwaj, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Bhupendra Attri, Chief Medical Officer were present in the meeting. Dr. Surekha Chopra, all the sub-divisional officers, officers and employees were present.
