Rooh – B – Rooh – A counseling and an interactive session for the development of the students was organized by DAV Lakkar Bazaar School, at Gaiety Theatre here today. The main objective of the event was to make students become familiar with the risks involved while using latest technologies and also to give them an opportunity to share their thoughts.
During the event Chief Guest, Anjum Ara, S.P. Cyber Crime, Shimla, guided students on the threat as one exposes to them — knowingly or unknowingly. She stressed on the need to keep a close watch on the privacy settings while using social networking sites like Facebook and chat messengers. She highlighted the risk of sharing personal information and photographs which can be easily violated by the hackers and can be used against one.
On the other hand students of school also staged a skit for delivering the message of time management and importance of remaining focused in one’s life. Students who do not take life and lessons taught in school seriously are often taught life’s lesson the hard way.
A dance performance by the girls highlighted the need of freedom for an individual. Often parents try to live their dreams via their children and hence in the struggle they often get derailed from the track and their originality gets destroyed and they stand nowhere. Rajneesh Kumar, Director IPad, Mindset, expert in career and relationship shared his valuable advice with the students during the counseling session. He said that it is important to choose the right career as this decision can have a far reaching impact on the rest of an individual’s life. Everyone wants a career that is not only interesting but lucrative as well. The financial aspect of a career is an important one but it is not the only thing that one should keep in mind when choosing a career. People need to be honest as they paved their way towards a career path that is right for them. Knowing what career is right requires an individual to be aware of what he or she wants from life.
While speaking on the occasion School Principal Kamna Beri thanked the distinguished guests for sharing their valuable experience with the students and making them one step brighter and smarter in making choices of their lives that can be the foundation stone for their future.
