Sacred Heart Convent School celebrated its Annual Day function, aptly titled “Triveni,” on September 24, 2026, with immense splendour and enthusiasm. His Lordship Most Rev. Bishop Sahaya Thatheus Thomas, Bishop of the Shimla-Chandigarh Diocese, graced the grand occasion as the Chief Guest, accompanied by School Principal Sister Grace. The celebration commenced with the sacred lighting of the Panch Deep, followed by a serene Prayer Dance by Class IX-B students to invoke divine blessings. The welcoming atmosphere was further heightened by a melodious Welcome Song from Classes VI-A and VI-B, along with a vibrant welcome dance performed by Class XII girls. Sister Grace then presented the school’s Annual Report, showcasing the institution’s prominent academic accomplishments and major milestones achieved over the session.

The core theme of “Triveni” unfolded through a breathtaking panorama of classical Indian dance forms, celebrating the country’s rich artistic traditions. Students across various classes captivated the audience with a sequence of traditional classical dances, including a graceful Kathak by Class VII-A, an elegant Bharatanatyam by Class VII-B, and a powerful Tandav by the boys of Classes X-A and X-B. The cultural journey continued with Manipuri by Class VIII-A, fluid Mohiniyattam and dramatic Kathakali by Class IX-A, Sattriya by Class X-A, and the sculptural elegance of Odissi by Class X-B, all rounded off by an energetic Chhau performance by Class VIII-B. Together, these performances painted a vivid portrait of India’s cultural harmony and unity in diversity.
Adding further depth to the cultural spectacle, the students presented a harmonious English musical rendition, followed by an engaging English play staged by Class XI. The senior boys of Class XII delivered a stirring performance titled “Motherland,” paying a powerful tribute to national pride, resilience, and identity. The event proceeded with the formal felicitation of Chief Guest Most Rev. Bishop Sahaya Thatheus Thomas, who imparted valuable words of wisdom and inspiration to the gathering. Following a heartfelt Vote of Thanks honoring Sister Grace, the teaching staff, parents, and participating students, the memorable evening concluded reverently with the rendition of the School Anthem.
