Creativity comes in all forms and how fun can it be, was proved by Chapslee School Junior wing as students of Classes Nursery to Eight displayed art and craft models based on all subjects taught in school. Anything taught and done visually is remembered for years and when these are further showcased through 3D models and enactments, learning thus comes naturally to the students. An annual event in Chapslee School’s calendar, and of course the last activity of the year, the students stood proud and learned as they respectfully explained their projects to the chief guest, Director Pronoti Singh.

Mark Twain’s popular Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn were bought alive by the English Literature section as a make believe world was created showing different phases of the story. As time came for few fun games to increase the vocabulary ranging from tongue twisters to idioms to suffixes and prefixes, a lesson was learnt in English language.

Chapslee SchoolNumbers and figures can alway be confusing, but not when children prove through lots of games to test your IQ and logic. Interesting models teaching you aspects of Math such as quadrilaterals, spheres, bar graphs, etc were the highlight of this section. Science experiments are most interesting when these actually show you all the scientific temperament of the school. Working models of hydraulic lift, electroplating, fire alarm, fire extinguisher, DNA, etc., as well as educational yet entertaining information about scientists was just amazing.

Social studies showed a proper Lok Sabha in action and the passing of a Bill, it felt like that you were transported to the Parliament! EVS by students of Classes 2, 3, 4 and 5 shared their interesting ideas and presentations on models of cross ventilation, states of matter and traffic lights. Computer department provided all the information about the artificial intelligence, use of computers for home security, the chronology of floppies, CDs as well as the history of the Internet.

A showcase of art and craft items through exhibition of paintings and drawings by students of classes Nursery to Eight was equally impressive, as craft work included use of paper plates, pencil stands, table cloth, floppy dolls, knitting displays. (Click To See All Videos)

All in all a great show and a commendable effort by the staff and students!
