Akhileshwar Singh, Director (Finance), SJVN met Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel at Ahmedabad. During the meeting, discussions were held on opportunities for development of Floating Solar Projects, Canal Top Solar Projects, Pumped Storage Projects within Gujarat.

In the meeting, deliberations were held regarding allotment of Government land for the development of Hybrid and Green Hydrogen Renewable Projects. Singh conveyed SJVN’s keen interest to invest in renewable energy ventures in the state to provide Round The Clock energy through its hydro projects in conjunction with renewable energy sources.

Akhileshwar Singh also met Mamta Verma, Principal Secretary, Energy & Petrochemicals, Government of Gujarat. He apprised the Principal Secretary about the status of ongoing renewable projects undertaken by SJVN in Gujarat.

Singh stated that in line with the GOI’s target to generate 500 GW from Non –Fossil Sources by 2030, SJVN has re-engineered its Business Model, envisioning a Shared Vision of 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW installed capacity by 2040.
