Superb golfing was displayed by 15 year old Aadil Bedi, a student of Class X, Vivek High School and 17 year old Karandeep Singh Kochar of Class XII, St John High School at the Bombay Presidency Golf Course Mumbai. Playing in the IGU National Maharashtra Junior Golf Championship in A Category Karandeep shot 10 under and won the championship with scores of 65, 68, 65 and 72, a total of 270. Aadil shot 5 under in the match and finished runner up in the tournament. Four days score was 67, 69, 69 and 70, a total of 275. Jay Pandya of Gujrat finished 2nd runner up with a score of 284.

Aadil said, “It was a great course layout and perfect for scoring. Greens were very fast and tricky. Karan is in great form and playing with him on the last day was a great learning experience”. Both the players are being trained at Chandigarh Golf Association Golf Range Chandigarh under the able-guidance of NGAI Director Jesse Grewal. Karandeep Kochar is leading the IGU merit with 347 points where as Aadil has played 6 domestic seasons with win at Karnataka, and podiums at Rajasthan, Haryana Junior and Eastern India last month has 316 points and finishing at 3rd position in Current IGU merit list with 3 matches to go till December. Kartik Sharma of Kolkata is at 2nd place with 324 points.

He further said, “I am playing CG open professional at BPGC next week. This Junior event was a good practice match before I tee off with the best professional of the country like Rashid Khan, Ajitesh Sandhu, Himmat Rai, Shubankar Sharma and Khalin Joshi. CG open will be conducted by Professional Golf Tour of India is known as PGTI.
