Time Traffic Restrictions on Talland–Khalini Road in Shimla for Road Work (May 28–29, 2025)

The Office of the District Magistrate, Shimla, has issued an official order imposing night-time traffic restrictions on the Talland to Khalini Junction road for urgent metalling and tarring work.

As per the request from the Executive Engineer, Shimla Division No. III, HPPWD, Shimla-3, and following the recommendation of the Superintendent of Police, Shimla, traffic will be restricted from 10:00 PM to 5:30 AM on May 28 and 29, 2025.

  • Affected Route: Talland to Khalini Junction

  • Timings: 10:00 PM to 5:30 AM

  • Dates: May 28 and May 29, 2025

  • Vehicles Allowed: Only emergency vehicles

To ensure smooth vehicular movement during the roadwork, the following diversion routes have been prescribed:

  1. Talland to Khalini Junction: Diverted via Talland – Chhota Shimla – Brockhurst – Kasumpti, and vice versa.

  2. Buses from Upper Shimla to ISBT: Rerouted via Chhota Shimla – Old Bus Stand – ISBT.

  3. Buses from BCS to Old Bus Stand: Will commute via Khalini – ISBT – Tutikandi Crossing – Old Bus Stand.

  4. Buses departing Old Shimla for BCS/New Shimla/Vikasnagar: Will follow Old Bus Stand – Tutikandi Crossing – ISBT – Lower Khalini – BCS route.

The public is requested to adhere to these temporary traffic regulations for their safety and to facilitate the smooth completion of roadworks. The executing agency has been instructed to ensure all necessary safety and security measures, especially for pedestrians and school children.
