Droupadi Murmu, President of India, was accorded a warm reception upon her arrival in Himachal Pradesh on Monday, marking the beginning of her five-day visit to the state.
The President landed at Kalyani Helipad, where she was received by Governor Kavinder Gupta and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who welcomed her on behalf of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Several dignitaries were present on the occasion, including Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, who is also serving as Minister-in-Waiting for the visit, Member of Parliament Suresh Kumar Kashyap, and Shimla Mayor Surinder Chauhan.
