More than 6.81 lakh pending land and revenue disputes have been successfully resolved across Himachal Pradesh through dedicated Revenue Lok Adalats and Special Revenue Lok Adalats. This massive clearance effort includes over 5,44,000 mutation cases, 63,000 demarcation matters, and 47,333 partition cases, along with 26,288 official corrections made to land records.
To tackle the backlog, the state government initiated monthly Revenue Lok Adalats in October 2023, holding them at Tehsil and Sub-Tehsil offices on the final two days of each month. Building on this momentum, Special Revenue Lok Adalats were introduced in January 2026, running three days a week—Tuesday through Thursday—to focus specifically on partition matters and record rectifications.
This citizen-centric initiative has provided vital relief to rural and remote residents, allowing them to resolve land disputes without spending valuable time and money on frequent trips to government offices. Beyond saving resources for property owners, these Adalats have dramatically improved the accuracy and reliability of official land records, enhancing transparency and efficiency across the state’s revenue administration.
CM Sukhu highlighted that family and land matters directly impact public well-being, making their fast resolution a top administrative goal. He noted that the overwhelming turnout reflects strong public trust in these reforms and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering responsive, hassle-free governance that improves everyday ease of living.
