Reinforcing the state government’s commitment to social security and welfare, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu distributed financial assistance worth ₹5.78 crore to 1,471 registered workers and their dependents across Himachal Pradesh. The funds were disbursed under various welfare initiatives of the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (HPBOCWWB) during a program at Nogli in the Rampur Assembly constituency. The Chief Minister emphasized that the assistance was transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries to ensure complete transparency, eliminate administrative delays, and provide timely support to vulnerable and needy worker families.

The distributed funds cover a broad range of welfare needs, with the largest share of ₹2.74 crore allocated to 968 beneficiaries under the Education Assistance Scheme to support higher and technical education for workers’ children. Additionally, ₹1.83 crore was released to 359 beneficiaries under the Marriage Assistance Scheme, while ₹45.95 lakh was provided under the Mukhya Mantri Aawas Yojana to assist widows, single, destitute, and Divyang women with house construction.
