Governor’s Order Facilitates Reshuffle Of Key IAS Officers

In a move aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and promoting the public interest, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh has ordered the transfers and postings of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Effective immediately, these appointments are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to important roles across the state.

Manasi Sahay Thakur appointed as Labour Commissioner-cum-Director of Employment

IAS officer Ms. Manasi Sahay Thakur, belonging to the 2009 batch, has been appointed as the Labour Commissioner-cum-Director of Employment for Himachal Pradesh. She was previously awaiting posting.

Rohan Chand Thakur appointed as Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation

Rohan Chand Thakur, an accomplished IAS officer from the 2009 batch, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC). This strategic appointment is expected to contribute to the efficient management of the state’s transportation system.

Sandeep Kumar appointed as Special Secretary (Technical Education)

Sandeep Kumar, an experienced IAS officer from the 2010 batch, has been appointed as the Special Secretary (Technical Education) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh. He was previously serving as the Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation.

Rakesh Kumar Prajapati assigned additional charge as Managing Director

Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, an efficient IAS officer from the 2012 batch, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Managing Director of the General Industries Corporation Ltd., Himachal Pradesh. He will continue to serve as the Director of Industries for the state.

Pankaj Rai relieved from additional charge as Special Secretary (Planning)

Pankaj Rai, a dedicated IAS officer from the 2014 batch, has been relieved from his additional charge as Special Secretary (Planning) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh. He will continue to serve as the Special Secretary (Education).

Shubh Karan Singh appointed as Chief Executive Officer of HIMURJA

Shubh Karan Singh, a dynamic IAS officer from the 2015 batch, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of HIMURJA (Himachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency). He was previously serving as the Special Secretary (Technical Education) and holding an additional charge as Chief Executive Officer of HIMURJA.

Amit Kumar assumes role as Director (Personnel & Finance)

Dr. Amit Kumar, an accomplished IAS officer from the 2016 batch, has been appointed as the Director (Personnel & Finance) of the H.P. State Electricity Board Ltd., Shimla. He will also continue to hold the additional charge of Additional Controller of Stores, Department of Industries, Himachal Pradesh.

These transfers and postings are expected to further strengthen the administrative machinery of Himachal Pradesh, enabling efficient governance and better service delivery to the people of the state.
