Hiamchal – DC’s to Hear Public Grievances Twice a Week

Education Minister Rohit Thakur today here held a video conference with representatives of the Primary Teachers Federation to discuss strategies for the successful conduction of the PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan-2024 in various government schools of the state. During the meeting, Rohit Thakur emphasized the importance of the survey which was scheduled to take place in the first week of December.

He directed the members of the federation to adopt a mission-mode approach and ensure comprehensive arrangements at all levels and he stressed the collective responsibility of all the educators. He said that apart from primary-level teachers the school lecturers must actively contribute towards the success of the survey. He further said that the outcome of the PARAKH Sarvekshan would reflect the overall performance of the education department and all stakeholders must work at unison to ensure that our students were well-prepared to achieve good ranking in national level.

He emphasized to conduct regular practice sessions and teachers should provide targeted support to address learning gaps. Rohit Thakur highlighted the extensive measures undertaken by the state government to elevate the ranking of the state in national level. Mock tests have already been conducted across approximately 15,000 schools in the state to asses and enhance the readiness of students in language, Mathematics and Science for Classes 3, 6, and 9. The Education Minister commended the federation for their relentless efforts in improving educational standards and preparing students for the survey.

He said that this year special focus has been laid on enhancing the performance of students in mathematics and significant initiatives have been introduced to strengthen teaching methodologies. The English medium has been started in all the government run schools from this session and Rajiv Gandhi Government Day Boarding Schools were being established to strengthen the quality education in state. The Minister expressed confidence in the collective efforts of the teaching community and urged them to sustain their momentum. He assured the government would ensure all possible support to the union in their mission to achieve excellence in the Parakh Survey-2024. State President of Primary Teachers Federation Jagdish Sharma, General Secretary Sanjay PC and representatives from all the districts joined the video conference.
