The voice of 73rd Independence Day echoed aloud in North Oak Public School, Sanjauli, as the students and staff celebrated with a variety of cultural items paying homage to the martyrs of our country. There were patriotic songs by Nursery & KG students followed by a semi-classical dance on Vande Mataram, saluting our Motherland. The main attraction of the function was a mime depicting the plight of soldiers and their families who died in the Pulwama attack on 14th February, 2019, an attack on India’s soul, which was a heart touching moment bringing tears to the eyes of audience.
The closing speech of Director-Principal Namita Lal was full of emotions as it highlighted the status of Indian soldiers and the inevitable sacrifices they make for our country.
