Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhu has instructed the Education Department to expedite the finalization of uniforms for students, a distinct dress code for teachers, and a standardized color scheme for government-run CBSE school buildings. During an Education Department review meeting, the Chief Minister confirmed that the mandatory dress code for educators will take effect on October 1. Discussions were also held regarding the design of an official logo for these state-managed schools.
To instill discipline and improve punctuality, attendance in these CBSE institutions will now be recorded three times a day. CM Sukhu emphasized that the initiative aims to bring high-quality, subsidized education to students in rural areas, making it a far more affordable alternative to costly private CBSE institutions.
Addressing staffing concerns, the Chief Minister noted that faculty members have already been deployed across these schools. He assured that any upcoming vacancies will be filled on priority to ensure uninterrupted learning, directing senior officials—including Advocate General Anup Rattan, Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar, and Director of School Education Ashish Kohli—to complete all necessary preparations promptly.
