Second Annual Training Camp of NCC from July 10

The 2nd Annual Training Camp of the 1HP Girls Battalion NCC Solan is going to be held at UHF Nauni from 10th July to 19th July 2024. Under the able leadership of Camp Commandant Colonel Sanjay Shandil, approximately 750 girl cadets from various schools and colleges across Himachal Pradesh are participating in this extensive training program.

Cadets will undergo rigorous training in discipline and drill, crucial for instilling a sense of order and teamwork. Hands-on weapon training sessions will be conducted to familiarize cadets with the handling and safety measures of various firearms.

Practical sessions in map reading will be provided, along with live firing exercises to enhance precision and control. Experts will deliver lectures on psychological resilience to manage stress and discussions on gynecological health issues. There will be demonstrations cum lectures on disaster management, fire fighting, and essential first aid, including CPR techniques for emergencies.

Each day will begin with physical training (PT) and yoga sessions to promote physical fitness and mental well-being. Evenings will be dedicated to sports and games such as volleyball, kho kho, and tug of war, encouraging physical activity and camaraderie among the cadets. Diverse cultural events will be organized where cadets will showcase their talents, fostering a spirit of unity and cultural appreciation.

The camp aims to provide comprehensive training to the cadets, fostering discipline, leadership, and a sense of responsibility. Under Colonel Sanjay Shandil’s command, the camp endeavors to groom the cadets for a better future, equipping them with essential life skills and a disciplined lifestyle.

This annual training camp stands as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the NCC, ensuring that the cadets receive holistic development and are well-prepared to face future challenges.
