The much-anticipated Mimansa 2025 – Children’s Literature Festival commenced with great enthusiasm, uniting young minds through literature, storytelling, and artistic expression. Organized in collaboration between the Language and Culture Department and Keekli Charitable Trust, the three-day event has attracted participation from more than 15 schools and over 300 registered students.


Celebrating Literature, Art and Imagination
Schools including Swaran Public School, IVY International, SPIPS, Monal Public School, Sacred Heart, LCTH, Auckland House School, Auckland House School for Boys, Sambhota Tibetan School, GSSS Sarog, and GSSS Boilaeuganj are part of this vibrant festival. Joint Director Manjit Sharma graced the inaugural session, accompanied by members of the Trust who managed the day’s events.
Day 1 Highlights – Mimansa 2025


Inauguration by Artist Priya Kuriyan
The event was officially inaugurated by well-known illustrator and artist Priya Kuriyan, who shared her experiences and inspired young readers and budding artists, setting a lively tone for the festival.
Declamation Competition (Classes 5 to 7)


Students from junior classes showcased impressive public speaking skills during the declamation competition. The event was judged by Dr Deepti Panji, Prince Abhishek and Eta Thakur, respected names in the education sector.
Book Sessions and Literary Interactions
Book Session 1:
Jyotsna Atre’s work, The Jungle Book of Rhymes and Captain Subu, was presented in an engaging session by Principal Vinita Sood. Young readers Varahi, Amol, Atharv and Sajal responded enthusiastically to her storytelling style.

Poetry Reading:
Poet Dinesh Sharma interacted with students who presented their original poems, creating a heartfelt session filled with rhythm and reflective verses.
Book Session 2:
Author Kishan Shrimaan introduced his book देव नगरी, with moderation by Vichlit Ajay. The narrative sparked deep interest among the audience, while student reviewers Manohar Lal, Senha Harnot, Sajal Sharma and Shaurya shared their perspectives.
Book Session 3:
Preeti Sharma Aseem presented सप्त सिंधु भारत, offering a journey through India’s cultural and historical roots. The session was moderated by Vichlit Ajay, and the student reviewers included Manisha Sharma, Tarun Sharma and Sachin Sharma.
Art Panel and Creative Competitions
An insightful panel discussion on the evolving landscape of art was led by Upasana Bisht and Priya Kuriyan. This was followed by an art competition featuring participants from Classes 2 to 4, Classes 5 to 7, Classes 8 to 10, Classes 11 and 12, and college-level students, who showcased remarkable creativity.
Word Play Workshop Encourages Creative Thinking
Led by Alok Singh, the Word Play Workshop drew participation from twelve teams, each consisting of three students. This interactive session combined fun and learning, with the same teams set to compete again on Day 2.
Looking Forward to Day 2
Day 1 concluded with a celebration of imagination and intellect. The festival continues for two more days, promising more insightful sessions and engaging activities for young minds across Himachal Pradesh.
