After conducting an extensive aerial survey of Chandertal and Losar in the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu arrived in Mandi to personally assess the situation. Visiting Relief Camps and Ensuring Well-being

During his visit, the Chief Minister made it a priority to meet the affected individuals and families in relief camps. He visited Beas Sadan at Bhuli and Gurudwara Sahib at Paddal, inquiring about the well-being of the inmates who had been impacted by this tragic event.

Relief Measures Announced

To provide immediate assistance and support to those affected, Chief Minister Sukhu announced relief measures. Those taking shelter in the relief camps will receive Rs. 25,000 each, while individuals who have suffered significant property losses in Pandoh will be provided Rs. 1 lakh each.

Commitment to Assistance and Challenges Faced

Due to unfavorable weather conditions including dense fog and bad weather, the Chief Minister’s intended visit to Thunag had to be postponed. However, he reassured the affected people of the region that all possible assistance will be provided to help them overcome the challenges they are facing.
