Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said India is emerging as a global player in clean energy through a multi-pronged strategy focused on green hydrogen, nuclear power, and renewable energy, backed by innovation and industry collaboration.

Speaking at the World Hydrogen Energy Summit in New Delhi, he highlighted that the country is building a self-reliant energy ecosystem through policy support, R&D, and public-private partnerships.

He said the ₹19,744 crore National Green Hydrogen Mission aims to decarbonise key sectors, while the Nuclear Energy Mission targets 100 GW capacity by 2047. India also plans to develop five small nuclear reactors by 2033.

The Minister added that expanding investments, growing refining capacity, and rising opportunities in green jobs are positioning India as a key player in global clean energy and sustainable development.
