Sukhu Connects with Workers, Calls for Unity and Commitment

CM Sukhu today launched the ‘Chief Minister’s Dialogue with Workers’ programme, starting with Congress workers from Pachhad in Sirmaur and Chopal in Shimla district. From Oak Over, Shimla, the Chief Minister interacted with workers, sought their feedback and discussed development priorities of the constituencies.

Welcoming the initiative, party workers assured their support to the state government and committed cooperation in taking development schemes to the people.

The Chief Minister called upon workers to remain united, strengthen the Congress ideology and ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach every eligible person. He said the government has undertaken major reforms in health, education, agriculture and social welfare sectors during the last three-and-a-half years.

Highlighting key initiatives, he said more than 150 government schools have been affiliated with CBSE, postgraduate seats in medical colleges have been increased and Aadarsh Swasthya Sansthans have been established in every Assembly constituency. He added that the government is promoting rural economy through increased MSP on milk procurement and support for natural farming.

He also informed that payments to apple growers under the Market Intervention Scheme are being released and the government is supporting the education of children of widows and destitute women. Students are also being provided education loans under the Dr. YS Parmar Vidyarthi Rin Yojana.

Assuring continued development, the Chief Minister said adequate funds would be provided for pending works in Pachhad and Chopal constituencies. He reiterated the government’s commitment to balanced development across Himachal Pradesh.

HPCC President Vinay Kumar said the party organisation is being strengthened across the state and the government and organisation are working together to serve the people.
