Unveiling the curtain raiser for the Emerging Science, Technology & Innovation Conclave (ESTIC-2026), Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the flagship three-day event scheduled from October 27–29 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The mega conclave will bring together global scientific icons, including three Nobel Laureates—Prof. Joachim Frank, Sir Richard J. Roberts, and Prof. Kostya Novoselov—alongside top international award-winning speakers.
Designed to unify India’s once-fragmented scientific landscape, ESTIC-2026 aims to break institutional silos by creating direct bridges between laboratory research, deep-tech startups, industry leaders, and policy-makers. Highlighting India’s transformation into the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem with over 2.3 lakh ventures, Dr. Singh emphasized that 50 to 60 percent of new startups are now emerging from tier-2 and tier-3 towns. He called for integrating management and communication domain expertise with technical science, backed by national initiatives like the ₹1 lakh crore RDI Fund, to convert regional innovation into commercial market success.
