Dr. Yogesh Chander Sood

There was a big hotel
In the city great
The owner came there
Off and on
To see his hotel’s fate
One day the rich owner
Paid a surprise visit
To his hotel
Though for a meeting
He was getting late
His eyes fell
On an old man
Eating food at the far end
Of the decorated hall
With marvellous paint
The owner instructed
Men at the hotel desk
Not to accept payment
For food
From the veteran
A direction straight
Showing gratitude
To the hotel men
The old man left
Though the rich owner
Standing in one corner
For some time
Had to wait
Hotel staff was surprised
To see
The hotel owner
Lifting the used dishes
With his own hands
Of the old man
Who had graced the hotel
Sometime before
When asked by them
Out of curiosity
The rich owner
Smiling affably replied
“He was my Guru great.”
