Good Touch, Bad Touch

Students of St Thomas School spent a very enlightening morning as they were taught about ‘The Good Touch, The Bad Touch’ through the medium of an animation movie titled ‘Komal’. School Principal Vidhupriya Chakarvarty informed that the children from Classes Nursery to XII were sensitized about this concept as it is really important for children to understand what kind of touch is permissible without feeling uncomfortable.

It is noticeably seen that children usually are scared and afraid to talk to parents when any such incidence happens. Children were apprised that they should talk to their parents and teachers and discuss any such incident without any fear. The recent incident with the Ryan International school kid has left the parents wondering and rather skeptical about sending their kids out to play as well.

Such steps taken by schools help in educating children by making them comfortable about opening up to teachers and friends about any such incident.
