Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar today distributed blankets to the sanitation workers of Municipal Corporation Shimla through the State Red Cross Society. Chairperson, Red Cross Hospital Welfare Branch Dr. Sadhna Thakur was also present on the occasion. The Governor said that the Red Cross has been rendering various humanitarian services from time to time besides providing relief material to needy people. He said that about 1100 blankets have been distributed to these workers. Satya Kaundal, Mayor, Municipal Corporation Shimla, Priyatu Mandal, Secretary to Governor, Shailendra Chauhan, Deputy Mayor, Ashish Kohli, Commissioner M.C. Shimla, Councillors and other officers and employees of the Corporation were also present on the occasion.
