‘Ride for Peace’ – Bike Rally led by Bishop P.K. Samantaroy

Auckland.4.11.15aA motorbike rally — Ride for Peace — organized by the Diocese of Amritsar, from 27th October to 7th November finally reached Shimla today, as they received a warm reception by Director Principal Sunita John, Auckland House Girls School, Principal Michael A. John Principal, Auckland House School (Boys) and Church Father Mushtak Malik along with students of the school.

The rally started from Amritsar and will cover nearly 2500 kms in areas of Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh and finally end on 7th November at Amritsar.

Auckland.4.11.15The rally was led by Bishop P.K. Samantaroy taking more than 20 participants from Punjab with him. It constituted of more than 10 bikes and 2 cars as they passed through various cities and towns of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. This rally aims at spreading the message of peace, harmony and brotherhood.

Bishop Samantaroy said that this message had assumed utmost importance in the contemporary world where peace and tranquility was being threatened by divisive notions of castes, colour, creed, origin and community. He prayed to God Almighty for His continuous grace and protection during the journey.
