Shamrockbutter_b-28Little tiny tots of Shemrock Buttercups Play School, Khalini, made the day bright and sunny for their parents with some mesmerizing performances during the Annual Day “Showcase 2015” organized at the Gaiety Theater here today. School Principal Umang Banga welcomed all and presented the annual report. She highlighted the motive of the school and said that it’s the hard work and care that the school tries to provide to each and every student that helps in developing confidence in them. She said that most of parents can clearly see the difference between what their child was when he/she joined the school and now when the term is almost on the verge of completion.

Shamrockbutter_b12The event stared with the lighting of lamp which was followed by Pooja dance Vaar Da;by Mrikula, Shirisha, Anika, Apoorva, Jhanvi, Malhar, Dhriti, Ruhani, Pritish and Dharya; in which the little ones showcased their gratitude towards the guests who had gathered there in a very cute manner.

On the other hand dance performances on songs like Selfi Le Le Ray and Blue Hai Pani – Ankita, Aditya, Anahat, Ryan, Aaditya, Sarthak, Jhanvi, Fazlina, Kaushki, Anusha and Aarush made each and everyone’s day sunny as all got compelled to tap their feet and clap as the little ones burned the stage with their energy that vibrated in the entire hall. Other dance performances on songs like Dil Garden performed by – Vaishnavi, Anya, Madhav, Anirudh, Arav, Miragya, Vaibhavi, Avni, Vansh and Ayaan; Disco Dancer by – Sambhav, Vardhan, Kavish, Ryan, Aradhay, Adamya, Sakshan, Pragun also touched the hearts of everyone.

Ex-students of the school also showed their gratitude by performing a special dance and other item included performance by VDC group that left the audiences spell bounded.

Most enjoyed item was the Phari Naati; that brought people close to their roots; as the little ones made the flavor and culture of Himachal come alive on stage and in its sharp contrast was a fashion show they showed that no one can beat them when it comes to trends.

Sanjay Chauhan, Mayor, M .C. Shimla graced the occasion as the chief guest while addressing the gathering he said, “It is amazing to watch little ones become so confident and perform on the stage. In current times when the level of education is facing a decline, still schools like Shemrock Buttercups are trying to mould little ones in the best possible way.”

He raised his concerns about teaching becoming third grade profession in current times when most of the students shy away from becoming one or consider it as an option only if no other option works for them. He stressed on the need of giving children freedom of choice when it comes to picking up their vocational life but on the other also said that they should lay their emphasis on inculcating good values in their children and making them a good human being rather than a mean successful cold working machine.

Students were rewarded for their annual performances category wise as under  –

Fancy Dress – 1st  Ryan  and Bhumika; 2nd Malhar; 3rd Aproov.

Colouring Competition – 1st Prayway and Sarthak; 2nd Anahat and Vaishali; 3rd Vaishnavi, Sambhav.

Himachal Day – 1st Dhriti; 2nd Asmi; 3rd Kavish.
