Students of classes one to ten of Swaran Public School, Tuti Kandi participated in a unique competition where they acted as teachers and gave presentations on various topics related to Social Science. They made use of several teaching aids such as charts and flash cards. Reena Tasta, Social Science teacher, said that as many as 200 students participated in this competition.
Vaishnavi, Bhavesh, Jagrit, Ekta, Mayank, Harsh, Naitik of Class I presented lessons on Parts of Plants, Indian Festivals and Religious Places and bagged the first prize.
Ayush Chauhan, Arushi Negi and Bhumika Thakur of Class II explained topics such as First Aid, Types of Clothes, Life Cycle of a Butterfly and the Globe.
Tanvi, Darkh Dev and Nancy of Class III elaborately taught lessons on Soil Profile, Life Cycle of a Frog and Mosquito, Digestive System and Different Types of Feathers.
Presenting easy and fun filled lessons on Earthquakes, Photosynthesis, Pollution of Air, Water and Land and Water Cycle Soumya, Sonakshi, Nyasa and Trishla of Classes IV and V won the first prize.
Danish and Divya Gulab of Classes VI and VII gave presentations on Consumer Rights and Globalisation. Food Securities, GST, Money and Credit, Deserts and Mughal Emperors were succinctly covered by Dimple, Khushbu and Mrinal of Classes VIII, IX and X.
Principal Seema Mehta appreciated the effort of students and gave away the prizes to the winners.
