Sanjana; Chapslee; Sakshi, Monal; Arushi, Chapslee; Shikha, Chapslee adjudged as best athletes among girls, while Rahul, St Edwards; Suman, St Edwards; Uday, St Edwards and Suraj, Chapslee bag the best athlete trophies in various age categories. Girls from Chapslee School bag the 3S Trophy whereas St Edward Boys take home maximum number of medals.

yes3The finale of the 3rd Inter School Athletic Meet saw quite a few spirited performances and the zeal to complete the race despite lagging behind by more than a lap. The students from various participating schools gave their best finishes to bag medals as they reached the end line. Himachal High Court Judge, Sanjay Karol presided over the function as the chief guest, who was warmly greeted by the YES team and St Edwards Principal Father Anil Sequira. The events for the third days were both track and field events — 800 mts, 200 mts, and relay races as well as high jump and disc throw.

The chief guest accompanied with Father Sequira presented medals to all the winners and lauded the efforts of all the students for such a brilliant show of strength, stamina and sportsmanship. Reminiscing about his days as a student in St Edwards, Justice Karol said that it was a great feeling to be a part of such a fabulous event, and as students when you represent your school in various competitions it is a moment of great pride and honour. He congratulated all the winners and further added the participation was equally a big reward.

yes2The day ended with lots of cheers and loud claps for the winning teams as both Chapslee Girls and Edward Boys lifted the winning trophies !!!

A nonprofit organization founded in 2008 has been instrumental in making the youth of Himachal self-reliant, aware, confident and healthy (SACH) by undertaking various specific activities targeted towards them. Their mission is, “To reach each and every village of Himachal and provide the young generation with adequate opportunities to excel in their lives, irrespective of their gender and background and also a healthy, drug free environment to live in”. YES team comprises of young professionals from various fields, together combining their expertise with an aim to help the youth overcome their problems relating to education, family relationship, drug addiction, physical health, stress and depression and enable them to grow in all aspects of their life.

team-yesTheir notable projects include “Deekshant, blood donation camps, 1 hour, 1 reform on drug abuse, 3Cs (competition of creativity and capability), 3Sc (competition of strength, stamina and sportsmanship), and IYFFS (international youth film festival Shimla), women helpline and much more.
