Immense Talent shown during Ist HP State Ranking Table Tennis Championship

Adish Rana from Shimla City becomes the champion of the event!

tt1The three days 1st HP State Ranking Table Tennis Championship 2015 was held in Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Shimla from 2nd May to 4th May, which was organized by the Shimla District Table Tennis Association. The chief patron Ramesh Chand (I.R.S), Secretary Table Tennis Organization Alkesh Saini, Press Secretary Somu Ray, Organizing Secretary Jaswant Gangta, Advisor J M Malhotra, Vice President Vikas Sood and Joint Secretary Varun Dawar were present on the final day of the event. The chief guest for the closing ceremony was Director Public Relations, Shimla, Dr M. P. Sood, who awarded the students with certificates and trophies on their wins. He lauded and congratulated all the winners on their performances. Tennis matches took place between different age groups among boys and girls and the total number of participants stood at 160 plus. Total number of eight teams was present from different districts namely, Shimla, Solan, Kangra, Mandi and Sirmour.

The winners in the under 10 boys category Ritvik from Mandi and Naman from Sirmour was the Runner up. Under 12 girls trophy was won by Vanshita from Kangra, while Arpita from Solan was the Runner up. Under 12 boys was won by Anshul from Kangra and Ansh Saini from Shimla was the Runner up.

In Under 15 boys, Mehul from Sirmour emerged victorious, while Prabhav from Sirmour was the Runner up. Kumkum from Mandi was First in Under 15 category, while vritika from Sirmour was the Runner up. In Under 18 boys group, Navjot Mokta from Solan was winner while Mehul from Sirmour was the Runner up. Under 18 girls had Reva from Solan as the winner and Ishav from Kangra as the Runner up.

Youth girls and boys had Surbhi from Kangra and Ankit Jaglan from Solan as winners while Sargam Dogra and Madhav from Solan as Runners up. Men (veteran) had Bhupender Verma from Solan as winner and Munish Nepali from Sirmour as the Runner up.

Sonali and Reva from Solan won in the women’s double while Sakshi and Sargam also from Solan stood as Runners up. Men’s (doubles) Alkesh Saini and Jaswant Gangta from Shimla were runners up and Aadish Rana and Abhey Lakhanpal were the winners from Shimla City.

Womens singles had Sargam Dogra from Solan as runners up while Sakshi Jaryal from Solan lifted the trophy. In men’s single Vibhour Dhanda from Solan was the runner up and Adish Rana from AGHP was the winner.
