Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) is pleased to announce that we have recently signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with different Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) they are as follows- AeroSpace SSC, Power Sector SSC, Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council, Rubber, ChemicalPetrochemical Skill Development Council, Apparel Made-ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMH-SSC) to provide skill trainings for the youth of the state.

The MoUs were signed by the Managing Director Sh. Jatin Lal in the presence of Worthy Secretary Technical Education, Dr. Abhishek Jain where the team of Asian Development Bank and representatives of these SSCs were also present. The MOU outlines a comprehensive training program that will be tailored to the needs of current industry demand and will help to enhance candidate’s skills and knowledge. Under these MoUs, candidates will have access to a wide range of training programs, including technical and soft skills training.

The courses are as follows under different SSCs- AeroSpace SSC- Airline Customer Service Executive, Airline Cabin Crew, Airline Reservation Agent. Where total candidates are targeted to train is 400.Power Sector SSC- V Charging Station-TechnicianOperation & Maintenance, Industrial Electrician there is a target of 250 candidates to train under these two job roles.Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council- Facility Management Executive, Bartender, Counter sales executive in tourism and hospitality, Commis chef and 850 is the target number of candidates.

Rubber, Chemical Petrochemical Skill Development Council under this SSC the training will be provided in Machine Operator – Stretch Blow Moulding Plastic and Assistant Operator- Material Handling and Storage. Apparel Made-ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMH-SSC) will provide training in Fabric Checker, Sewing Machine Operator (Knits), Specialized Sewing Machine Operator and Self Employed Tailor where 600 candidates are targeted to train.

The training programs will be conducted by qualified trainers and will be delivered through a variety of methods, including classroom sessions, online courses, and on-the-job training. HPKVN is hoping that this training program will benefit the youth of the Himachal and also enhance their overall performance and employability.
