One of the most awaited festival of the month, Raksha Bandhan, was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal at Regal Public School, Shimla. It was indeed a great endeavor by School Principal, Manmohan Khanna, and the staff who make sure that children never fall back when it comes to Indian values and traditions. Such celebrations are seen as a great tool by the school in inculcating a deep sense of pride in our cultural values.
Little girls dressed in their fineries tied rakhis on the wrists of young boys and girls as the children enjoyed the perks of the festival in form of sweets and gifts. It was a joyous occasion for all.
Such activities, as seen by the school administration, lead to holistic development of children. Also it gives an opportunity to the school to come together in a spirit of celebration and helps strengthen bond with students who are most receptive at this tender age and carry this learning home.
Kudos to the school for taking teaching and learning beyond books.
