You gain much more when the focus of the competition is about skill building and giving the much-needed support to the participating teams – that is the motive behind organizing the Children’s Theatre Festival – Inter-School Hindi Drama Competition in October, being present by Language & Art Department, HP, and Keekli Charitable Trust, Shimla. The expertise of the Core Team is best utilised when they engage with the participants than rather just sit down to judge and that is what we have been able accomplish.

Furthering our cause, film maker Vivek Mohan visited GSSS Kaina School in Ghanati and Swaran Public School in Tutikandi, today to guide the teams about their theatrical performance and to make necessary adaptations in the scripts. His focus of conversation was about confidence boosting exercise as well as conquering stage fright. He guided the teachers that while adapting the stories written by Himachal’s writers, the language could be simplified, yet maintain the essence of the script. He shared that doing thing simply, yet emphatically could get the teams the same results. As the final motive was presenting a great performance. He also enlightened the about stage structure, movements, dialogue delivery and performance styles.
