Stepping out of your comfort zone to share your innermost feelings through poetic verses is the first step to learning, and that is what we witnessed today. A group of young writers participated in an open poetry session with Prof Meenakshi F Paul and Atma Ranjan, at Brew & Books Cafe, Shimla, who shared their views and constructive feedback with them.

As each writer shared her poetry with the resources persons, they received valuable input on the creative aspects of writing. Both appreciated the confidence and versatility of the poetess and at the same time taught them valuable lesson to be kept in mind while writing the the future. They also emphasised that to improve upon their work it was pertinent to read all kinds of work to learn from various examples as well as improve their vocabulary.

Our young poetry readers were – Varahi Thakur from Auckland House School; Samridhi Pathak; Sneha Dagar; Shreya Thakur; Mitali Kaistha; Abharikaa Badhuar; Ridhima Munjal; Yuvika Saini; Meenakshi Kumari; Shruti; Shreya Nadda; Yashasvi; Unnati Shree; all from St Bede’s College.
