In a heartwarming display of unity in diversity, students from classes 6, 7, and 8 at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla, came together on April 10, 2024, to commemorate Baisakhi, Ambedkar Jayanti, and Himachal Day.

Dazzling the audience with a rich tapestry of cultures, the students showcased their talents through captivating cultural displays that encompassed diverse cuisines and traditional attire. Poignant poems honoring the Indian Constitution, the picturesque state of Himachal Pradesh, and the joyous festival of Baisakhi were eloquently presented, adding depth and meaning to the celebrations.

In a spirited performance, the students donned Punjabi attire and enthralled the audience with the energetic Gidda dance, symbolizing the vibrant spirit of Punjab. Moreover, they conscientiously raised awareness about the visionary leader Baba Sahib Ambedkar and the foundational principles of the Indian Constitution, underscoring the importance of equality and social justice.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarty, the Principal of St. Thomas’ School, Shimla, who presided as the chief guest. Mrs. Chakravarty lauded the students for their exemplary efforts in promoting unity in diversity and fostering a culture of equality. She extended heartfelt Eid greetings and best wishes to all present, further enriching the inclusive atmosphere of the event.
